HSBC takes opportunity to save staff 25 minutes every day
HSBC’s award winning roll-out of the Emailogic seminar
Headquartered in London, HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world. HSBC's international network comprises around 9,500 offices in 85 countries and territories in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa.
HSBC staff were experiencing email overload - anecdotal evidence showed people were finding email ‘burdensome’, ‘controlling’, ‘frustrating’, and ‘addictive’. Constant copying of line managers and irrelevant parties into emails was creating unnecessary traffic, time wastage and increased stress levels. Email had become a corporate liability on a large scale.
The Emailogic Solution
After a successful pilot seminar, HSBC trainers were fully trained and licensed by Emailogic to deliver the seminar. Initially 1,650 staff at HSBC attended the 90 minute Emailogic seminar with each department nominating a champion to coordinate attendance
Immediate feedback from seminar attendees was hugely positive. The time saving of 25 minutes per person per day versus the cost of the training represented a return of investment for HSBC of 4191%.

The senior manager who originally sponsored the pilot of this programme commented:
